when stacking coins I was never sure whether or not I should put the pennies on top of the dimes or the other way around. without thinking about it too much I always figured I'd put the pennies on top of the dimes because pennies are worth less. well today something clicked and finally I decided to let go of that whole numerical idea. I mean, I always stacked the dimes on top of the nickels anyway.
next topic. I think the reason I stay around here and look at people's stuff is because I'm curious to know what others are doing and where I'm at in comparisson. this website did help me get to where I am (wherever I am) and I guess it would be a bit hard to leave. like leaving home. deviantart and its artists have this huge stereotype that it's amateur hour. I think the main reason of that is because of the comments people make. it's like a huge popularity contest so everyone kisses everyone else's ass. the more you comment on others, the more attention you'll get for yourself and thus receive more "favourites" - or faux credibility/talent level. well fuck. I don't comment or fav very often at all but when I do, it's usually because I want to make some criticism or because I really do like the work and thought I'd say something/click the fav button. I used to criticize more, but every time I did I'd get into some stupid argument because everyone's so used to getting their asses licked. THAT'S why deviantart is amateur hour. everytime I see a piece that's been done a trillion times and/or a straight up copy of someone else's work, all I see is people praising them. this might be because they honestly didnt' know but it just makes me sick.
ok this is getting pretty negative so I'll stop here.
